This is the movie of Maui and the sun that we made. First we drew the pictures on Kidpix using a mimio pen on the big whiteboard. Ms H showed us how to cut around things and move them. We had to save lots and lots of pictures. When we tried playing our movie on kidpix it went too slow so Mrs H put it on Moviemaker. We had to add the sound to our movie as well. We are really proud of our work.
On Friday morning our class ran the school assembly. It was great to see some of our parents there to see us up on the stage. Here is a movie taken of us on the stage with our poi song. The song is called E rere taku poi. We have learnt the poi actions to go with the words of the song.
Tell us about your favourite book or story. Why do you like this story?
We have made some of our classmates "digikids". They are good at doing things on the computer and mimio and can help other children when they don't know what to do. We have two "digikids" each day and they have tasks to do. They also wear badges so we know who we can go to for help.
